How do I start translating?
- Click the “Edit This Page” button
that will appear at the top of the page
- Item ID: This column represents the technical ID name for each text item. These are used for internal dev purposes and should not be edited or translated themselves.
- Placeholders: Whenever you see the 'percent' character ('%') it means there's a placeholder in the text. This means that DAP replaces that placeholder with other text. For example, '%1', '%d', '%date', '<SiteName>', '<a>', '@yr@', etc. are all placeholders that will be replaced with other text such as time of day, connection retries left, folder name, etc.
- Names: There is no need to translate names such as DAP, DAP Premium, DAPsters, Link Checker or AlwaysResume.
- Community work & team effort: Many users can contribute to a single translation in any given time. Use the easy built-in wiki tools to compare, modify & publish your translations. you can leave notes and comments to other translators, or confer with them in the discussion area below.
