What is the difference between SPEEDbit Video Accelerator different versions?

SPEEDbit Video Accelerator is currently available in three versions:

1. SPEEDbit Video Accelerator/Windows: Our free Windows version providing accelerated video streaming to more than 165 web sites, such as: YouTube, Facebook, iTunes, Veoh, MySpace and more!
2. SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Premium: Available for purchase with a yearly subscription. Featuring acceleration of HD Videos and iTunes downloads in addition to normal and HQ video acceleration.
3. SPEEDbit Video Accelerator/Mac: Our Mac enabled version, available for a free two-week trial or for purchase with a yearly subscription. Featuring video acceleration of HD Videos and iTunes downloads in addition to normal and HQ video acceleration.

What is iTunes Downloads Acceleration?

SPEEDbit's iTunes Downloads Acceleration enables you to get all your iTunes music, music videos, movies, and TV show downloads as fast as possible.

Can I turn off the Now Accelerating message without loosing video acceleration?

Absolutely. To deactivate the Now Accelerating message simply right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator System Tray Icon. Select Settings and then deselect Show Tray Messages. When you disable the Now Accelerating message, the System Tray Icon flashes to indicate acceleration is in progress.

How can I enable HD Video Acceleration and iTunes Downloads Acceleration?

HD Video Acceleration and iTunes Downloads Acceleration are available to SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Premium users. If you want to enjoy HD videos without the wait, and receive the fastest possible iTunes download speed you can purchase a yearly premium subscription.

How do I activate SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Premium?

There are two ways you can activate your premium SPEEDbit Video Accelerator:

1. During installation, in the Activation page, enter your activation code and the email address you used during your purchase.
2. After installation is completed, right click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Premium System Tray Icon, and choose Enter Activation Code. Now enter your activation code and the email address you used during your purchase.

What is SPEEDbit Video Accelerator's Main Status screen?

Our Main Status screen provides you with a central location to look up information about SPEEDbit Video Accelerator and control the application. Find out what acceleration options are available, enable premium features, view a list of video sites supported by SPEEDbit Video Accelerator, and access the Options and Settings window.

Can I configure SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to work with my browser's proxy?

If you're using a proxy to access the Internet, you have to set SPEEDbit Video Accelerator's proxy settings to enable acceleration. Watching video via a proxy is possible only when using Internet Explorer. To allow Video Accelerator to work with a proxy, please use the following steps:

1. Right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon, then click Settings.
2. In the Settings window, select the Set SPEEDbit Video Accelerator as Browser Proxy option.

A script is now added to your Internet Explorer proxy settings which will allow SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to work smoothly with your proxy.

Can I open and close SPEEDbit Video Accelerator manually?

Yes. By default, SPEEDbit Video Accelerator is configured to load when your system starts up. You can, however, disable this feature and open Video Accelerator manually instead.
To stop it loading on startup:

1. Right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon, and then click Settings.
2. In the Settings window, deselect the Load Service on Startup option.

SPEEDbit Video Accelerator will no longer open automatically. Now, whenever you want to stream high definition videos without the buffering, you'll have to open SPEEDbit Video Accelerator.

Here is how you can re-open SPEEDbit Video Accelerator:

1. Click the Start menu and navigate to the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator program folder.
2. Click SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to launch the application.
