Can I measure the video acceleration?

Yes. You can use a third-party bandwidth utility such as DU Meter that provides a graphical display of internet data transfer rates, and technical support on how to measure the level of acceleration. This utility and others like it allow you to compare your regular connection speed to that with SPEEDbit Video Accelerator.

What is Normal Video Acceleration?

Normal Video Acceleration is the type of acceleration used to enhance the most common videos types, such as those on YouTube. These videos have bitrates of up to 100 KBps and SPEEDbit Video Accelerator significantly speeds them up!

What is HQ (High Quality) Video Acceleration?

HQ Acceleration is the type of acceleration used to enhance large and higher resolution videos. HQ videos have bitrates between 100 and 200 KBps. SPEEDbit Video Accelerator can significantly speed up high quality videos.

What is HD (High Definition) Video Acceleration?

HD Video is the type of acceleration used to enhance High Definition videos, currently the highest resolution available for web videos. HD videos have bit rates over 200KBps. HD Video Acceleration is available only to SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Premium users.

What is iTunes Downloads Acceleration?

SPEEDbit's iTunes Downloads Acceleration enables you to get all your iTunes music, music videos, movies, and TV show downloads as fast as possible.

Can I configure SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to work with my browser's proxy?

If you're using a proxy to access the Internet, you have to set SPEEDbit Video Accelerator's proxy settings to enable acceleration. Watching video via a proxy is possible only when using Internet Explorer. To allow Video Accelerator to work with a proxy, please use the following steps:

1. Right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon, then click Settings.
2. In the Settings window, select the Set SPEEDbit Video Accelerator as Browser Proxy option.

A script is now added to your Internet Explorer proxy settings which will allow SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to work smoothly with your proxy.

Can I hide the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon from the Windows System Tray?

Yes. Here is how you do it:

1. Right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon, then click Settings.
2. Select the Hide Tray Icon option.

If you need to restore the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon to the System Tray, do the following:

1. Click the Start menu, and then navigate to the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator program folder.
2. Click SPEEDbit Video Accelerator. The SPEEDbit Video Accelerator window appears.
3. Click the Options button, and deselect the Hide Tray Icon option.

Can I open and close SPEEDbit Video Accelerator manually?

Yes. By default, SPEEDbit Video Accelerator is configured to load when your system starts up. You can, however, disable this feature and open Video Accelerator manually instead.
To stop it loading on startup:

1. Right-click the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator Tray Icon, and then click Settings.
2. In the Settings window, deselect the Load Service on Startup option.

SPEEDbit Video Accelerator will no longer open automatically. Now, whenever you want to stream high definition videos without the buffering, you'll have to open SPEEDbit Video Accelerator.

Here is how you can re-open SPEEDbit Video Accelerator:

1. Click the Start menu and navigate to the SPEEDbit Video Accelerator program folder.
2. Click SPEEDbit Video Accelerator to launch the application.

Can I Save Videos with SPEEDbit HD?

Yes you can! With our new SPEEDbit HD you can watch related videos next to the played video on SPEEDbit HD iPad or in the iPhone version. At anytime while watching videos you can build your own collection of favorite videos watch them regardless of your connection, offline whenever you want.
